LIZ PATRICK
has been competing in 3-Day Eventing since 1987 and has trained
and competed numerous horses since then She currently competes her
gelding, Toast of Manhattan at the Intermediate level in addition
to her young horses she is bringing along- After Eight (7 y.o.
TB/Dutch), Forrest (8 y.o. CB/TB), and her homebred True Blue (by
Salute the Truth) will be making his debut in the Eventing world
this fall.
Liz’s
instructional approach focuses on teaching effective riding
through correct use of aids while instilling in the student a
strong awareness of how the horse is going.
Liz has two
sons, Tyler (17) who is a junior at The McDonogh School and Scott
(20) who is a sophomore at Davidson University in North Carolina.
She enjoys summer breaks with Scott and Tyler on Long Beach
Island, NJ. She also enjoys winter vacations skiing with her
friends in Park City, UT.

ELENA OTT
began riding in 2005 and since then has dived into the horse
world head on. She has worked at numerous barns, helped with
summer camps, and volunteered at two horse rescues. Elena started
out as a Hunter-Jumper rider, but quickly fell in love with
Eventing after her first cross-country school.
Elena
joined Waters Edge in February 2011 from Loudoun County, Virginia
as a part-time working student. She has now taken the
responsibilities of the barn manager. She currently resides on the
farm with her husband David. She has yet to make her Eventing
debut, but hopes to start this fall!

DESIREE
BENNETT is 15 years old and is going into her sophomore year
at Marriots Ridge High School. Desiree has been riding and working
at Waters Edge since January 2011. She currently competes Major, a
Waters Edge school horse, at unrecognized events and jumper shows.
She also rides numerous horses on the farm making her a more
versatile rider. She hopes to be competing at recognized shows in
the near future.

EMILY
MILCHLING just finished her freshman year at UMBC where she is
studying to become a horse veterinary. She currently works
part-time at Waters Edge and takes multiple weekly lessons with
Liz to make giant steps in her riding. Additionally, Emily works
at Days End Horse Rescue in Woodbine, Maryland.

BROOKE ELLER
is a welcome addition to the Waters Edge team. She came onboard in
June 2011 as a full time working student. Brooke has been a
student of Lisa Swan in Davidson, Maryland for the past 3 years.
She is working hard with her Belgian-Cross gelding, Teddy, to
improve his jumping. She is also getting plenty of time in the
saddle riding numerous different horses on the farm.

SAMANTHA
RINKER currently works part-time at Waters Edge while
attending Howard Community College. Samantha grew up in the
Sykesville, Maryland area and just graduated from Marriots Ridge
High School. She plans to transfer to Salisbury State next year.
Samantha has always had a strong interest in horses and loves to
ride and take care of horses. She currently receives multiple
lessons from Liz. |
