Natalie competing Bacall

Natalie Hollis, the trainer/co-manager at Water's Edge Farm, is an active event rider who has competed several horses from the Novice to Advanced level since 1989.  Natalie is a former pony clubber and former Natalie and Hocus Pocus
Area IV young rider.

Natalie was certified in level 2 in the USEA ICP Program (through Preliminary) in 2004 and in June 2006 she passed her Level III. Natalie is now one of about 12 people in the USA to be certified to teach to the OI and CCI** level! This is quite an accomplishment! (learn more about the ICP program) She has also been a long listed rider for World Games, the Olympics, and the PanAmerican Games many times.

Natalie is originally from Illinois where she trained with Mark and Jill O'Donoghue and Ralph Hill.  While in IL, Natalie received a BS in Animal Science with an Equine Specialization from Southern Illinois University.  Upon completing her degree, Natalie moved to Virginia to be a working student for Phyllis Dawson, with whom she continues to train frequently.  In the fall of 1998, Natalie began her own equine business.  At Waters Edge Farm, Natalie is responsible for the overseeing of daily operations, bringing along the young prospects, and the lesson and training program.

Natalie is also very busy with her own horses.  For more information on Natalie's current eventing activities, please see the competition horses' page.  Natalie also competes several horses for clients and horses offered for sale.  Learn more about these horses on the for sale page.   Watch for Natalie and her horses at Area II events.
